The mission of Big Brothers Sisters Gulf Coast is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. BBBSGC has been mentoring the youth of Galveston County and located on Galveston Island since 1975. Nationally, Big Brothers Big Sisters has been changing lives and shaping communities through mentorship since 1904. As the oldest and largest one-to-one mentoring organization in the country, nearly 2 million children have been served over the past 10 years. Our organization’s inspiring heritage illustrates our relentless commitment to defending the potential of every child. Although we are an affiliate agency of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, we are operated, governed, and sustained locally.
